Renovation details

The renovation reworked the home’s main living spaces to create a stronger connection between the kitchen, dining room and family room. At the centre, the new kitchen features dark-stained Shaker cabinetry, an expansive island with waterfall-edge Caesarstone quartz countertops and extensive integrated storage. A herringbone mosaic backsplash adds texture and detail, while thoughtful features including a full-height pullout pantry and concealed recycling centre maximize everyday functionality.

The family room was transformed around a new 47-inch linear gas fireplace, framed by custom cabinetry that provides both concealed storage and display space. In the dining room, a wall-hung 50-inch electric fireplace creates a second focal point, surrounded by tile and custom dark-stained wood. Positioned within the open main floor, the fireplace is visible from the front entry and helps define the dining space without closing it off. An integrated wine display set into the tiled wall adds another custom detail and gives the room a distinct identity of its own.

The renovation continues into the laundry and mudroom with custom cabinetry, storage and workspace, while updated flooring, lighting, staircase details and finishes carry a consistent material palette throughout. Together, the individual elements create a main floor that feels cohesive, refined and considerably more functional for the family.
