This Port Coquitlam main floor renovation transformed the home into a brighter, more connected space designed around everyday living and entertaining. A reconfigured layout opened the kitchen to the surrounding living areas, while custom millwork, warm wood tones and refined architectural details bring character throughout. From the statement kitchen to the concealed powder room, each space was thoughtfully considered to feel cohesive, functional and distinctly personal.
The renovation began by opening the kitchen to the adjoining dining area, creating a stronger connection across the main floor. Soft white custom cabinetry is contrasted by a warm rift white oak island with a curved end, while arched cabinetry, champagne bronze accents and polished quartz surfaces introduce subtle architectural character.
A dedicated coffee and bar station is set within an arched alcove, complete with a prep sink, open shelving, integrated lighting and brass gallery rails. Throughout the kitchen, integrated appliances and purpose-built storage keep everyday necessities organized while maintaining the clean appearance of the cabinetry.
Wide-plank oak flooring carries through the main floor and into the living room, where new built-in cabinetry, display shelving and a redesigned fireplace create a more finished and cohesive gathering space.
The powder room is concealed behind a door integrated into the surrounding millwork. Inside, a walnut vanity, quartz countertop, detailed wall moulding and botanical wallpaper extending onto the ceiling give the compact room its own distinct character. The space was recognized with the 2026 HAVAN Award for Best Bathroom Under 50 Sq. Ft.
