Mission Main Floor & Kitchen Renovation

Open cabinet doors reveal illuminated glassware shelves, a veined backsplash, drawers and a built-in wine fridge.

Project overview

This extensive main floor renovation transformed the way this Mission home looks, feels and functions. The kitchen was completely redesigned with custom cabinetry, a generous island and thoughtful storage, while a new walk-through pantry added valuable prep and storage space. The renovation extended into the living room and powder room, bringing warm wood tones, natural stone, contrasting dark finishes and custom details together to create a home that feels refined, comfortable and highly functional.

Renovation details

The kitchen became the centrepiece of the renovation, with custom cabinetry, integrated appliances and a large island designed for both everyday use and gathering. A dramatic marble range surround creates a focal point, while warm wood cabinetry, contrasting finishes and carefully considered lighting give the space a clean, sophisticated feel.

A new walk-through pantry significantly expanded the home’s storage and prep space, incorporating additional cabinetry, a sink and open shelving. One of the most distinctive features is a concealed beverage centre, where full height cabinet doors open to reveal illuminated shelving, stone detailing, glassware storage and an integrated wine fridge.

The renovation continued into the living room, where the fireplace was updated with a new gas insert and surrounding architectural detailing. In the powder room, a sculptural stone vanity with an integrated sink, wall mounted faucet, textured wallcovering, statement mirror and brass lighting creates a completely different moment within the home.

Together, the spaces feel cohesive without being repetitive, balancing practical everyday function with custom details that give each area its own character.
