There are many famous quotes referring to the importance of the details but what better way to describe that than to show it in real life. The Murray home is a prime example of the details making all the difference. A renovation where no small detail was spared resulted in a magnificent final result!
As a warmup and a little teaser of what is to come, is the entrance way. Small yet important changes to the entryway set the tone and flow for the rest of the house. The banister received an upgrade with a new railing that matches the new engineered hardwood flooring that you will find not only in the entrance but all through the whole house, both on the main floor and the upper level.
All new baseboards and casings were installed when all the doors were replaced with solid core doors. Just off the entranceway is the powder room where focused design choices were made that include upgrade finishes and a custom wood divider between the sink and the toilet. A floating vanity with LED lighting beneath adds a sophisticated touch. After a fresh coat of paint throughout the entire house, new life has been breathed into the home.
Up the stairs and into the full bathroom you’ll find brand new everything! The bathroom was completely redone. The new cabinets are not only stylish but practical with lots of storage and ways to keep items put away and tidy. Shadow box lighting on either side of the vanity offer a lovely glow in which to admire the clean counter space with under mount sinks. The glass enclosed tub and shower with tile backed insert is just one of the many details that bring vibrancy to this renovation.
Down the hall and into the master ensuite is another fully reinvigorated bathroom. To achieve the best layout possible for this upgraded bathroom, space was borrowed from what was a massive walk-in closet. In order to maximize the space in the adjusted closest size, custom cabinetry was added. So, while square footage of the closest was altered, that in no way decreased the available organizational space.
With the square footage of the closet given over to the ensuite, there was now room to include a large walk-in shower with a rain showerhead, slide bar and body sprays. That sounds like a trade-off everyone can get on board with! A jetted freestanding soaker tub replaced the old tub and now we are taking luxury to a whole new level. A floating vanity with a granite slab behind, a makeup area to the side and heated tile floors finishes off this incredible spa like bathroom. With this warm welcoming bathroom, mornings don’t sound like much of a hardship!
If all of that wasn’t enough, just wait until you go back downstairs to the kitchen and the rooms adjacent. The kitchen was completely overhauled. It now boasts a fully integrated refrigerator, a top of the line range and a beautiful hood fan and tons and tons of cabinet storage. The wide-open island is perfect for prepping a meal, entertaining friends, or having a quick bite to eat.
From the kitchen there are perfect sight lines into the dining area and family room. The wall that divides the dining room from the family room has another excellent example of the impact the details can make. A custom wood divider keeps the rooms connected and adds an eye-catching aspect to the space. Around the corner is the family room where you can admire the added fireplace detail, the Dekton stone fireplace surround and all the custom cabinetry.
Just when you think there couldn’t possible more, you look beyond the kitchen to the other side and you’ll find a warm and inviting sitting room. Another custom wall divider was created that helps divide the space but also keeps the openness that is themed throughout the main floor. Built-in cabinets were added with designer wallpaper behind to create a beautiful accent and welcoming vibe. Off the sitting room is a new barn door that takes you into the fully renovated laundry room. More custom built-ins were added for maximum storage and organization.
All this custom work resulted is a warm and inviting theme that flows throughout the entire house. All that attention to detail has entirely paid off!
