Project Summary
This project will involve a bedroom, laundry room, bathroom and mud room. Each of these areas will be completely redone including leveling a bedroom floor that has a 3 inch slope. In the bathroom we will be converting a tub to a walk-in shower. The laundry room will now have much needed storage space with the custom cabinetry that will be installed.

Another home remodel project for JBC is underway. As always we start with some serious demolition. We’ve officially destroyed the old bathroom. Now it’s time to start building a new one!

A previous renovation left this bedroom floor sloping so in order to make the floor level we had to install a series of 2×4’s to make it level again. We also added poly on top of the concrete slab for a vapor barrier and installed 1” rigid insulation to keep the floor warm and cozy!

We recommended installing Roxul insulation in the joist cavities to help maximize sound proofing.

Today we start dry walling. The donnacona and resilient channel on the ceiling help maximize sound proofing by creating an air gap to alleviate the transmission of sound vibrations.

We’re ready to start the process of waterproofing the shower and installing tile. Giddy-up!
