Betz Home Remodel

This full main floor renovation was guided by a desire to create a more open, light-filled living space while layering in warmth, texture, and refined architectural detail. The first step was removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, allowing the kitchen to fully anchor the main floor and connect seamlessly to the surrounding living areas.

The kitchen design balances classic and contemporary elements. Painted perimeter cabinetry in a soft, warm white is paired with a custom wood island finished in an aged hickory tone, creating contrast and depth. Arched cabinet doors and carefully proportioned millwork introduce subtle architectural character, while champagne bronze hardware adds warmth without overpowering the space.

Quartz countertops in a polished finish were used throughout, with a more detailed edge profile on the island to elevate the focal point of the room. A handcrafted tile backsplash brings texture and light reflection, complementing the clean cabinetry lines and tying into the neutral palette. Integrated appliances and a concealed hood insert maintain a streamlined, uncluttered look.

Wide-plank engineered oak flooring runs continuously throughout the main floor, visually unifying the kitchen, dining, and living spaces. In the entertainment area, custom cabinetry and a new fireplace feature were designed to feel built-in and timeless, providing both function and visual balance. The fireplace surround and millwork details echo the kitchen finishes, reinforcing cohesion across the floor plan.

The powder bathroom was also fully renovated, featuring custom cabinetry, quartz surfaces, upgraded plumbing fixtures, and statement finishes that add personality while remaining consistent with the overall design language.

Overall, this renovation transforms the main floor into a cohesive, elegant living environment that feels open yet grounded, with a material palette and detailing that will stand the test of time.
