A Stylish Vacation Condo Upgrade With Custom Doors
An upper floor condo with panoramic views of Lonsdale Quay is a stunner no matter how you look at it. But these out-of-towners wanted their weekend spot to have stunning views inside as well as out. Since it was in rough shape, to begin with, we started with a blank slate and renovated the entire two-bedroom two-bathroom home. Now, this couple’s getaway pad makes an impression from every angle, inside and out.
The Antidote to Boring: Custom Doors to Match the Floors
One request from the client was to have doors that matched the floors. It’s a great design trick for a part of a home that often gets overlooked. By choosing high-quality white oak solid core doors and staining them to match the flooring, we achieved the look the homeowners were going for: a rich, luxurious warmth that balanced the cool blue-gray tones and metallic accents present throughout the rest of the home.
A Kitchen Painted Blue to Match the View
When your kitchen overlooks the gateway to the North Shore, it makes sense to choose a color palette that’s inspired by waterfront living. The new custom cabinetry was painted the perfect shade of blue-gray — a neutral, designer-approved shade that offers more depth and interest than white.
Finally, the custom walk-in shower in the main bath and the new soaker tub in the en-suite add the finishing touches on this stunning and fabulous vacation condo makeover.
